You can arrive at the jetty by private taxi, coach, or car. Once you’re at the jetty, catch a ferry to Tioman Island.

1. Private Taxi From Singapore To Tioman
The most convenient (and preferred!) choice is to book a private taxi from Singapore to Tioman. This is because it’s a direct transport to the jetty.
Essentially, a private taxi service ensures you won’t have to worry about a thing! Your driver will handle everything, from navigation to even your heavy luggage.
- Best Price: From SGD 200 one way per car.
- Good For: Families travelling with kids or elderly folks, as well as groups of 3 or more people because it will be less expensive.
Opting to go by private taxi from Singapore to Tioman allows you to depart from Singapore early to avoid hitting the rush hour jam at the border.
In fact, a private taxi company’s customer service will typically advise you on the best time to depart from Singapore, especially if your ferry is leaving in the morning or if you’re travelling during a long weekend.
2. Coach/Bus From Singapore To Tioman
Another transport option is to take a coach or bus from Singapore to Tioman.

There are 4 coach operators that go to Mersing Jetty and Tanjung Gemok Jetty (a.k.a Teluk Gading Jetty). You can board a coach from any of the following locations in Singapore:

| Jetty | Coach Operator | Pick-Up Location in Singapore |

Unfortunately, travelling by any bus or coach means you’re required to get down at both checkpoints for immigration clearance.
Chances of encountering a human traffic jam inside are high. Please budget enough travel time for your journey to avoid missing the ferry!
Notes:
- Book your tickets on Easybook.com or the official websites of Diamond Coach, KKKL Singapore, and Leo City Coach.
- Not every coach operates daily, so it’s best to check the schedule before planning.
- Some coaches might not be available during certain months, for instance, monsoon season (November until February).
